At a young age I fell in love with the outdoors. I attribute my love for the outdoors to my father, church trips to the boundary waters, the Faassen family and to Brian Richterkessing, my uncle, or as I refer to him…”ub”.
Ub is the most fascinating outdoorsman that I know…his eyes light up and he invites you into his passion. What would normally come off as boring information from someone else is captivating and interesting when ub narrates the play by play description.
ub has over 40 years of Fly Fishing experience from Alaska to Ontario to the
Bahamas, he has a diverse background of fishing experiences, yet still
enjoys the simplicities of the small lake/pond environment. Since moving to
the Atlanta area in 1998, he has grown to cherish the year round, diverse
fresh and saltwater fishing of the southeast. He is a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor and staff member at the Atlanta Fly Fishing School.
For me, ub is synonymous with the great times to be found in the outdoors!
